TRAITS Paris

Barbara Platte founded the label "TRAITS Paris" in 1994 producing exclusively in the South of France. Her collections are inspired by her travels in Europe and her strolls through the world of fashion in Paris, before taking shape in her design studio in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

The delicate structure of the textiles she designs, along with their texture, the playful approach to colours, and the subtlety of the graphics give each of her creations a unique strength.

Barbara studied fashion design at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences as well as at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris. She created fabrics, shawls, and accessories for the fashion houses Lapidus, Gianni Versace, Hermès, Helmut Lang, and Jil Sander.
