For our latest summer dress design, we imagined creating something easy and smart you would wear to work, but also dreamy enough to bring along on your holiday to wear with sandals and a panama hat.
This silhouette is inspired by the dramatic, feminine silhouettes of vintage dresses from the 40’s. We also experimented with bias-cut panels, now an uncommon element in contemporary clothing due to the complexity in construction. We put our own modern spin by crafting this piece out of three different beautiful men’s twill shirting fabrics.
The shirt is made of three different yarn-dyed twill cottons from the British shirting label Thomas Mason. The dress comes with a belt attached at the back – for a relaxed look, tie the belt at the back or else wrap it around to the front to cinch in the waist.
