Longstaff Longstaff

Longstaff Longstaff is a British womenswear brand designed and made in England. The collection of silk blouses, shirts, camisoles and dresses use fresh and original prints, hand painted by founder Sophie Barnard. With an aesthetic that is feminine and elegant, Longstaff Longstaff has an artisan feel and a commitment to British craftsmanship and luxury finishes. Sophie’s Russian lineage led to a passion for bold, highly decorative patterns and vibrant colours that translate into stunning prints.
However, Longstaff Longstaff is named after the British side of Sophie’s family. Her grandmother was one of seven sisters who each had the middle name, as well as the surname, Longstaff. Sophie was captivated and inspired by stories of elegant parties, wild adventures and handsome suitors.

Sophie's design career spans theatre costume design, accessories, fashion and textiles. She worked with English National Opera and couturier Catherine Walker before starting an accessories brand stocked by Liberty, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Browns. In 2016, she founded Longstaff Longstaff, making silk loungewear using her distinctive prints. Customers fell in love with the prints and so by popular demand, she has produced her first daywear collection.
